Video: Beyond the Walls

Amazing photographer Benjamin Morris followed students and teachers at YouthBuild Charter's CCEO Lennox site around while they prepared for one of their culminating projects, a health fair. While the photo slideshow plays, teacher Aaron Scholl narrates the video, giving a little glimpse into the lives of our students, the challenges they face, and the obstacles our students and teachers overcome on a daily basis.

Vote for us and vote for YouthBuild USA!

As part of the What Works Project, each week GE is donating to a different non-profit that supports American jobs. This week, they are focusing on our partner organization, YouthBuild USA. All you have to do is "like" GE on Facebook, submit a photo and caption or heart a photo submission and $1 is donated to the non-profit of the week (so for the week of April 16th, YouthBuild USA). Make sure you are logged into Facebook or Twitter and go to: https://www.celebratewhatworks.com, click on the "Support" tab on the upper right hand corner of the page (next to the amount raised ticker). So easy!

We've submitted a photo to the contest on behalf of YouthBuild Charter School of California, so please go online and "heart" our photo. The top five photos will receive $500! So please vote for our photo and help both YouthBuild Charter School of California and YouthBuild USA.
